Bolin Services Inc. in Action!

About Kenny Bolin

Kenny “Starmaker” Bolin has spent much of his life doing two things: entertaining audiences and helping people in need.

Kenny is best known for his long and colourful career in professional wrestling. Beginning his career as a manager in the late 1980s, he became one of the most recognisable personalities in Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW), where he created the original Bolin Services—a notorious villainous stable led by Kenny’s larger-than-life “Starmaker” character.

During OVW’s influential years as a WWE developmental territory, Kenny worked alongside and helped showcase many performers who went on to achieve international success. The original Bolin Services featured an impressive roster of talent, including John Cena—then known as The Prototype—as well as Mark Henry, Rico Constantino, Carlito, Rob Conway, Lance Cade and Bobby Lashley.

With his sharp wit, trademark briefcase and natural ability to command an audience, Kenny became an integral part of OVW television. In addition to managing, he worked as a commentator, announcer and occasional in-ring performer. His contribution to the promotion was recognised in 2012 when he was inducted into the OVW Hall of Honor.

Following his wrestling career, Kenny remained connected with fans through podcasting, interviews and personal appearances. He hosted The Bolin Alley, sharing stories and opinions from his decades in the wrestling business, and wrote the entertaining memoir I Probably Screwed You Too: Mostly True Stories.

However, Kenny’s most meaningful legacy extends beyond the wrestling ring.

As CEO of Bolin Services Incorporated, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organisation, Kenny has transformed a name once associated with wrestling villainy into one representing compassion, generosity and practical support. Working alongside supporters of his shows and online community, Kenny raises funds to help individuals and families experiencing severe hardship.

The organisation’s work has supported families in the Philippines facing hunger, bereavement, serious illness, medical expenses and the effects of natural disasters. Closer to home, Bolin Services Incorporated has also assisted homeless and vulnerable people throughout the Louisville Metro area and Southern Indiana.

Through fundraising broadcasts and direct appeals, Kenny brings individual stories to the attention of a caring international community. The support raised helps provide food, medical treatment, funeral expenses and essential living costs to people who might otherwise have nowhere to turn.

For Kenny, this work is personal. He believes that compassion must lead to action and that even a modest contribution can make a life-changing difference when people come together.

In wrestling, Kenny Bolin earned the name “Starmaker.” Through Bolin Services Incorporated, he is now using his voice, experience and loyal community of supporters to create something even more important: hope for people when they need it most.
